This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms for refunds and cancellations of paid subscriptions on
Saaras AI. We aim to ensure a fair and transparent process in compliance with Indian
consumer protection laws.
1. Free Trial
- All new users receive a 30-day free trial of Pro features
- No credit card or payment information is required for the trial
- The trial automatically expires after 30 days with no charges
- You will not be charged automatically after the trial ends

3. Refund Policy
3.1 Eligible for Full Refund
You are eligible for a full refund if:
- You request a refund within 7 days (Pro) or 15 days (Premium) of
purchase
- You experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the paid features
- You were charged incorrectly or charged multiple times
- The Service was significantly different from what was advertised
3.2 Not Eligible for Refund
Refunds will not be provided if:
- The refund request is made after the refund window has expired
- You have substantially used the paid features during the subscription period
- Your account was terminated for violation of the Terms of Service
- You cleared your browser data (note: cloud-synced data can be restored by signing in again)
3.3 Partial Refunds
We may offer partial (pro-rated) refunds at our discretion for:
- Annual plans cancelled after the 15-day window but within the first 3 months
- Extended service outages or recurring technical issues
- Compassionate circumstances on a case-by-case basis
4. Cancellation Policy
No Auto-Renewal: Saaras AI subscriptions do not auto-renew. Your
subscription simply expires at the end of the paid period. You will not be charged again unless you
manually subscribe.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time
- Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period
- After expiry, your account reverts to the Free plan
- Your financial data (transactions, budgets, goals) is never deleted upon cancellation —
it remains locally on your device and in Firebase Firestore cloud storage
5. How to Request a Refund
- Send an email to system@saarasai.com with:
- Your username
- Razorpay Payment ID (found in Subscription → Payment History)
- Reason for refund request
- We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours
- Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days
- Refunds will be credited to the original payment method

7. Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks incur
processing fees and may result in account suspension. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and
promptly.
8. Consumer Rights (India)
Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules,
2020:
- You have the right to a refund for deficient services
- You have the right to file a complaint with the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission
- Digital goods and services purchased in India are covered under consumer protection laws
- Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights as a consumer
9. International Users
For users outside India:
- Refunds are processed in INR; currency conversion rates are determined by your bank
- EU users have additional rights under the Consumer Rights Directive (14-day cooling-off period)
- Local consumer protection laws may provide additional protections
10. Modifications
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with an updated date. Existing
subscriptions are governed by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
