Welcome to Saaras AI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Saaras AI personal finance management application ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Saaras AI, you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years of age
You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
You agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws
You are using the Service for lawful personal finance management purposes

2. Description of Service

Saaras AI is a personal finance management application with cloud sync that provides:

Income and expense tracking
Budget and savings goal management
AI-powered financial insights and recommendations
AI financial advisor with personalized advice
AI chat assistant for financial queries
Financial health scoring and analysis
Cross-device data synchronization via Google Firebase Firestore
Google Sign-In for seamless authentication across devices

            Important: Saaras AI is a financial tracking and insight tool. It does NOT provide
            professional financial advice, investment management, tax preparation, or accounting services. Always
            consult a qualified financial advisor for important financial decisions.
        

3. Account Registration

You must provide a username and password, or sign in with Google, to create an account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
Account data is stored locally on your device and synced to Google Firebase Firestore for cross-device access
You can sign in to your account from any device using your credentials or Google Sign-In
Each account has isolated data; we are not responsible for unauthorized access to your device or account

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

4.1 Free Plan

The Free plan provides access to core features (Dashboard, Transactions, Budgets, Goals, Profile) at no cost, indefinitely.

4.2 Free Trial

New users receive a 30-day free trial of Pro features upon registration. No credit card is required for the trial. After the trial expires, AI features (Insights, Advisor) require a paid subscription.

4.3 Paid Plans

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes
Payments are processed securely via Razorpay
Subscriptions provide access for the purchased period (1 month or 1 year)
Subscriptions do not auto-renew — you must manually renew

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify pricing. Existing subscriptions remain at the paid rate until expiry. New prices apply to subsequent renewals.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate financial information for your own tracking purposes
Keep your login credentials secure
Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
Not use automated tools to scrape, copy, or redistribute the Service
Not share your subscription with unauthorized users

6. Data & Privacy

Your financial data is stored locally on your device and synced to Google Firebase Firestore for cross-device access and backup
Data is transmitted securely via HTTPS/TLS encryption
Firebase security rules ensure each user can only access their own data
We are not responsible for data loss due to browser data clearing, device failure, or user error; however, cloud-synced data can be restored by signing in on any device
You may export your data at any time via Settings → Export Data
You may request deletion of your cloud data by contacting system@saarasai.com

7. Intellectual Property

The Saaras AI name, logo, design, code, and content are the intellectual property of Saaras AI
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal purposes
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without written consent

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Accuracy or reliability of AI-generated insights and recommendations
Fitness for a particular purpose
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
Security of locally stored data

Financial decisions made based on Saaras AI insights are entirely at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:

Saaras AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the preceding 12 months
We are not liable for financial losses resulting from decisions made based on the Service's insights
We are not liable for data loss due to browser clearing, device failure, or unauthorized access

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Saaras AI, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by clearing your browser data
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms
Upon termination, your subscription (if active) remains valid until the paid period expires
Termination does not affect your rights under the Refund Policy

12. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we will provide notice within the app.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of India
Jurisdiction: Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India
Consumer Protection: These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India), or equivalent consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction
Dispute Resolution: We encourage resolving disputes amicably. Contact us first at system@saarasai.com

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Saaras AI regarding the use of the Service.
